Endometriosis

1 in 10 women (10%) has a chronic disease called endometriosis.

This condition can cause problems with fertility as well as pain during menstruation and intercourse.
What happens if you have endometriosis is that there can be a blockage in the tubes that carry eggs from the ovaries to the uterus. The quality of the eggs can also be affected.

For many women endometriosis has been left undiagnosed, misdiagnosed or mistreated.

One in Ten

Imagine 10 females in a room (you and 9 other adult women you know.) If the 10 of you represented the world’s female population, one of you would have endometriosis. This is how common it is!

For many women endometriosis has been left undiagnosed, misdiagnosed or mistreated.

Conclusion

If you suspect you might have endometriosis, make sure you see an experienced specialist in the field. Investigate how the treatment may vary depending on in which country you live.
